Redo of Dining Project

I created new assets but they made maya crash several times so I rebooted everything. And The files were corrupted so I had to completely restart my project so I re-uved and redid the beveling. It was a long night.

Bar 2

I beveled all the assets in the scene so make them feel more realistic. The uvs on the bottles, bottle storage and the chairs have been completed. I resized the room to make it larger so it was more realistic. I made textures for some of the wall decorations that I have yet to create. I need to create the decorations and add textures to them. I also need to UV the couch table and leg rest. I need lights to create a better feel and texture the room to accomplish what I want.

Dining Project

Modern yet Classic

I have a love for the modern aspects of architecture yet the appeal of comfort that the rustic design are comforting. Therefor, I am going to combine these two aspects in one. I am referencing a modern bar for the layout and the details are coming from older diners or bars that feel lived in. Makes you think what the walls would say if they could talk. I found a simple modern layout and will start with that and move on to the details and textures from the other references.  There is a bar with chairs and comfy seating in the corner with movable foot rests. The bottles in the back and a dance floor for the night time fun. Sit down and enjoy yourself.

Grocery Shelf

Grocery Shelf

  • Setting a project
  • Gathering reference
  • Importing render background
  • Grid components in cm.
  • Creating and manipulating primitives
  • Tools to include but not limited to:
    • Beveling
    • Curve & revolve
    • Duplicate
    • Polygon primitive component manipulation etc...
  • UV layout of all objects in scene
    • to include individual face selection for glass labels.
  • Application of AIStandard material to include glass
  • 4-point lighting
  • Shadows
  • Properly formatted Outliner with groups and a naming convention
  • Naming of materials and texture files
  • Bookmarking camera views
  • Arnold rendering
  • Turn-in file structure

I accomplished all that was required of me except for the fact that none of my textures came out like they were supposed to and I have no fix. I did not have difficulty uv them but the textures never showed up and I have no fix and I am very confused. All the objects are to scale.

Table and Chair

This was a mess of an assignment. The chair was too small for the table, Arnold wasn’t working most of the time, I could find the render backdrop. I grew very impatient with this assignment that I did not finish the chair texture. I finally went to youtube after fighting the urge to kill my computer and figured out how to use Arnold again, I went through my computer and found the backdrop to use I still didn't finish the textures but I will accept that after all the frustration it caused me.
