Booleans, Edge Flow, Basic UV'ing, Basic Texturing

The pencil was a learning experience. I had little trouble when it came to doing the work at the lab but when I came home all the preferences were different and I had to figure out the problems. My biggest enemy was booleans because it took forever to figure out why the tip and body didn’t go together. The solution was in my settings and one of the TA’s helped in solving the problem. I tried to recreate the reference that was supplied to us and I feel I came close. I created what was asked.

Polygon Primitives, Shading, Rendering

Polygon Primitives, Shading, Rendering

I have a love for ancient architecture, castles being my favorite. I attempted to create a castle, however it is a poor representation of one. Typical castles have four walls with guard towers on each corner, so I recreated the typical castle. I placed my red "flags" on the front to show who I am in typical ancient tradition. I have a large drawbridge to repel invaders, with the four guard towers. My camera angle I feel is dynamic an shows of the castle the best with the light I chose.
I feel I created a good image of a terrible castle as the "sun" is rising in the early mourning sky. The lighting is close to my reference so that is an accomplishment.
The problems I was having was with my move tool because it only moved on the y axis unless i snapped them around I never solved that problem. Another problem was Arnold keep changing the wrong object and I realized they were all combined so I had to rework a lot of the information.
